DA stopped but appealing, can I get SWA from CWO while awaiting an appeal?

I've been on DA for about 5 years, got a letter today saying it's been stopped. They obviously don't have the full facts because if they had they wouldn't have stopped it. Anyway, I'm now appealing that decision. Am I entitled to claim SWA from my local CWO until as such time as a decision is made on the appeal? As far as I know I am. I have no other source of income whatsoever (I do get rent allowance of course which goes straight to the landlord)

I was on DA for depression but now for some unknown reason they think yer man's fine. Not true. I'm on a public waiting list for an ADHD assesment (at a residential centre where I was at as a kid when child psychologists were assesing me etc) and have made a private appointment to see a psychologist this week and get a report or whatever they call it as to what my current condition is regarding depression etc. Going to include that psychologists report in my appeal, along with a letter from my dentist saying I have suspected TMJ (constant tinnitus is one side effect) I've also had fatigue for years (going back to 2001 more or less) Also I'm seeing an ENT specialist as my doc thinks I may have something called PND/UACS My short term memory has also gone totally sh!te and my doc has told me my white blood cell count is high, they're investigating that - so all in all it's not good. And then they tell me no more DA for you. Ridiculous. Sorry if I went off topic just annoyed as hell. Thanks.

yep you are. get down to the CWO as soon as you can with the letter stating your payment has stopped and a copy of your appeal letter.

also I would suggest you go to your social welfare office to ensure your rent allowance payment is still in place, as I know a lady who's rent allowance was stopped when her disability payment was stopped as she was deemed not entitled any longer

Thanks for that. I have the letter stating my payment will be stopped in 1 weeks time but I don't have any appeal letter as I haven't appealed yet, I have 21 days to do so and am cureently gathering different letters etc for that appeal. I hadn't realised rent allowance may also be stopped, I'll phone them tomorrow and see if I can clarify that (the person to contact would be the my local CWO I guess but I'll also contact the Disability Allowance section in Longford and my local Social Welfare office) Thanks.
