back in the early-mid 90s, can anyone remember some sort of PSA system in place?

I remember walking up Pana with my Dad in the early-mid 90's and I would heard what sounded like a public service announcment system. Probably a very loud system for a store.

But I would give out annoucements like a child has been found, or a person in a wheelchair needs assistance. I don't know anything very specific, but i'd hear it walking up Pana. It's gone these days.

I suppose the residents complained and these days everyone is expected to install the Cork PSA iPhone or Android app.
