Anyone heard about this race or thinking of doing it. It's on tomorrow and having run most of the course it looks like a good one. Thought I would have heard more about it by now
Sorry I can't post a link due to using an iPhone belonging to someone else that I can't work

i did the wild west run yesterday and i was well worth the drive from Dublin. i spoke to the lads who organised it, Sean and Michael (?) from the North and they have plans to expand the "wild west" idea to include two more races in Sligo and Donegal. They are launching a web site in March with details. Yesterdays race was well organised and executed, with perfect weather, beautiful course and a favourable tail wind. The only slip up was the lack of water on the run itself, but that can be put down to first year teething problems

Where was it on Diff? What kind of race was it? On trail or road? do they have a website or link to it?

Was mostly over mountain tracks - on the Kerry Way between Kenmare & Killarney. About 50 people on it.

My bro managed to do it in 2 hours 13 minutes. A great time I think. I was out due to a knobbled knee.

I took some video of the Start, Torc Waterfall Descent and the Finish Line. It is on my blog at http://blog.likeplace.ie/2011/02/running-from-kenmare-to-killarney-wild.html

Overall, it was a great event. Well done to Michael for organising it! I look forward to talking part next year.
