That was a dive all day long, he clearly threw himself to the ground.

Quite - need to see more angles there ..... Ramieres is not a diver. remain unconvinced.

Wasn't clear,if he went down when he was touched(minimal) and not 3 yards away he might well have got it,by trying to win a penalty he made it look less of a penalty claim than it was

There was a bit of contact all right, but Ramires seemed to be looking for it. Prob should have been a penalty, but don't think people can blame dowd for it too much, the only angle that showed the contact clearly was the one directly behind Ramires and neither the ref or his assistant could have seen that.

The player was brushed from the side but threw himself forward, it was a clear dive.

Hmmmm today that was a clear peno for Chelsea. Thought the booking was harsh

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,328 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

Just watched it again a few times, I originally called it a penalty,

However there is minimal contact if there is any, but Howard was still very lucky to come rushing out like that and get nothing on the ball - he makes it a question there and the Ref could have easily given it.

I thought there was a bit more contact than that, looks like Howards hands clipped Ramires' foot too.

Lamps's passing has been woeful today give Mcreachan a chance Carlo!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,698 ✭✭✭ciaran76

Didn't think it was a peno , linesman would have seen it best too and he kept his flag down.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

If there was any contact at all it's a penalty, same as berbatovs against Liverpool.

There may have bben a bit of a dive and he was defenitely looking for it but there is contact from howard and thats all it takes to be a DEFINITE penalty, booking was a joke. Maceachran should be on for lamps imo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

    Essien on

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,513 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Crinklewood

    My God,

How long has Malouda been off there now trying to get a bloody ring off his finger?

    Seriously like.

Should have got Cole to help him.

Ramieres should do the decent thing and take himself off- the worst of a poor midfield.

Has he being playing bad since his return from injury? I saw 2 games and he had no impact on the game whatsoever.

What did Coleman do?. Had to pop away from the tv just after he got booked. I`m assuming that the referee did not see it has he was already on a yellow.

Ref is a joke now...Everton getting booked for everything.

6 wins in the last 15 league games tells its own story.

    Still hope they win here.

Yep, has probably only had one or two good games, Sunderland away for one but can't think of any others.

What was Beckford at there? What a waste,

Really doesn't look like any team is going to score.
