25/25A/25X terminates right across the road.

45 minutes from Westmoreland St to there. 30/35 minutes on a very good day, 90 minutes on a bad day.

Edit: Actually the 25A now appears to go straight down the N4 instead of through Chapelizod which will cut a good ten minutes off the journey time. The 25X is an expresso so can be very quick but has a limited timetable.

    Reasonable alternatives are the 25B, and 66/a/b & 67

25A will do the job, drops you right outside. Don't get the 25B though,it doesn't pass SQ.

Also noticed you could get a suburban train from Heuston to Adamstown - 15 minute trip with a short-ish walk on the far side.

Not sure how expensive those tickets are.
