01 Manual Passat reverse light switch help

    In a bit of a fluster here,

    My car failed its NCT on a visual; the reverse lights dont work.

    Now my mechanic was suppose to replace the switch today however he let me down... I have two days to bring the car in for a visual - however I'll be in Belfast til Monday.

    My only solution beside having a full retest is replacing the switch myself tomorrow morning..

    Im sure Consort on Drumcondra road will sell the switch - However I havnt a clue where the switch is located on the car.

    Can anyone help?

    It should be at the front of the gearbox(side facing the front of the car) on most VAG's.

    If you are stuck and are picking up the switch from consort in the morning your welcome to drop in to me in Atlas Drumcondra and I'll pop it in for you, will only take a minute on a lift.;)
