Bolier problem since christmas.Tought initially it was water pressure reduction due to cold weather.Pressure drops below .7 bar and pilot light failed to come on.Tradesman put in vent loop to bring up Bar pressure when it dropped. This worked for a while but now has finally packed up.

Have had a Glowworm expert out who fluted around with it and has since been uncontactable.Last night bar 1.4 and suddenly dropped again.Today pressure dropped to .5 and boiler has died altogether.

Anybody know how to help or anybody tthey could recommend.

    Dun Laoghire area.

I dont think its any thing to do with the boiler, the boiler is only doing what it should be doing when the pressure is low.
There should be a filling loopin the hot press which needs to be turned on for about 15 seconds or until the pressure has reached over 1 bar at least.
Try that first and see how the boiler works, if the pressure keeps raising while the boiler is running to over 3 bar well it could be an expansion problem but we'll watch this space till we see how the boiler goes.
