Heard rumour Simon had been relived of his duties at Phantom?

Is this true?

only just saw this, yes it's very true and absolutely awful. His last show was a tear jerker. I miss that guy!

presumably the new makeover the station is getting:
- bring in some vaguely well-known radio people (and "Vogue")
- dumb down the music so it's basically a slightly more indie version of Today FM, yet playing many of the same **** acts like The Wombats and Adele, not long before The Script are playlisted.
- put more talk and chat rubbish on, because god forbid, there might be a few hours in the middle of the day where there's nothing but music, and not inane chat nonsense like every single other station around.

i didn't care much for Simon's show, as i don't want to hear chat on Phantom, but his show was much better than Alisons. not really the fault/choice of either presenter though, it's the management/producers' decision on what way the shows go.
