I live on the outskirt of town and so far I have had only Mary White and Phil Hogan cronies come to my door; not even the candidates themselves. Ann Phelan did call months ago.

Are they afriad to call to the door or what?

I asked Phil's buddy what was his position on Education. Answer 'Oh he is all for it'. I asked 'What do you mean' and he rambled on for a minute making no sense to me. Pathetic!

I want to have my say

    What are other peoples experiences?

Living in the City, and I am the same. Only had Phil Hogan and John Paul Phelan canvassers to the door. Quite strange actually.

reminds me of a mate of mine who's doing a bit of canvessing 'ah shur, look it up on the website there, the address is on the leaflet'

He has actually put my off a bit. If these are his closest allies it doesn't bode well form the man himself.

Another thing he said was 'Sur he will be a minister if he gets in'

    I ask 'Minister for'?

Answer 'Minister for Foreign Affairs or Agriculture or something'

    Pathetic!!

Out in the country, had canvassers for Phil Hogan, Bobby Aylward and general fine gael canvassers (they were ages ago though). Loads of leaflets in the post though . . .

I had Ann Phelan, reps for Kathleen Funchion, reps for John Paul Phelan, leaflets through my mailbox for SF, Susie Long's husband that running as a Socialist, and some Independants. a rep for McGuiness called the other night.

Its very weird that none of the Candidates themselves are actually going door to door. I expected McGuiness and other FF'ers to take the cowards way out but FG and the other parties is a total surprise.

Sure didn't Kenny say that unless we vote in 2 FG candidates there'll be no Minster for us.

What happened to the end of cronyism that FG has promised?
