Quick question regarding grants..

Sorry if this has been asked before but couldn't find anything... My degree would have been a level 8 had I got a 2.2 or higher. However, I only got a pass so I presume this means its a level 7? If this is the case will i be entitled to a grant if I go back as a mature student as it will be a step up?
