Dolans big announcement?

What a let down. I was hoping for someone along the lines of Nick Cave or Ian Brown.

They have only had one album out and while it has been successful i certainly wouldn't count them as a big act or anything. Decent band for Dolans to get but certainly not anything for them to have hyped up it being announced. Only for the e-mail saying they'd have to wait till Monday for the big announcement it would probably have gone un-noticed in my eyes and I'm sure similarly a lot of people.

Ah well, was on Ticketmaster on the dot of 9 but didn't manage to get tickets, must be a slow typer or something. If anyone knows of any spares going please let me know.

I've been on since 9 and no joy, phoned the helpline and they are saying they have no tickets anywhere not just Dolans! Not that they are sold out. I hate ticketmaster :mad:

Not a fan but it'll be cool to have something popular that isnt pop crap like JLS on here, now if only Thomond Park could get a big band that isnt rubbish itd be worthwhile.

Its great Dolans brings big names but anyone else think the warehouse is over rated?

In all the money they make its a very poor standard,a small investment and they could have a cracking small live gig venue

Been to gigs there but it cant cope with large crowds at all

I was at the Biffy Clyro gig there (Nov 2008 or thereabouts) and it was immense. Full house too and it was a quality night.

No offense, but I think you might look into the economics of running a venue before you assume that dolans are making loads of money from the warehouse.

No, but for every sell out gig the have they have several gigs which don't sell out. You might go to Dolans the one night a month it's really busy and not see the other 29 nights when it's merely ticking over.

The place is perfect for some gigs alright. Like i saw the futureheads there a few years ago and the stmosphere was brilliant. You always seem to get a big crowd of proper fans there!
