Talented Bassist Needed for Well Established Rock Band, Dublin

    Howdy folks,

    Right so here's the deal. My band are in need of the best bass player in dublin asap. We're filming our first music video on the 15th and 19th of March, so said bass player needs to be able to start immediately.

    The bass player needs to be able to be able to play at an advanced level and be able to sing backing vocals (good ear for harmony is a must). Own gear is essential and own transport would be preferred though not entirely essential.

    This is not aimed at beginners or time wasters, only serious musicians who believe they have what it takes to really make it.

    Now a bit about the band:

    Our name is Silverbird
    We formed about 3 years ago, have gone from strength to strength and played massive gigs including opening for the Coronas, Aslan, Republic of Loose and the Dubliners, and also played Oxegen 2009 on the IMRO stage.
    Last year the band were on a hiatus, but the plan is this year to play all the big festivals again this summer (Electric Picnic, Oxegen etc.) and really get things going.
    We are managed by a guy who's dad runs MCD so don't worry, we aren't delusional in our plans, this is all going to happen make no mistake about it.

    Our influences include Gary Moore, Thin Lizzy, The Beatles, Boston, Queen, Oasis, Led Zeppelin and a load of other rock 'n' roll bands.
    Please don't get too caught up in influences, the idea here is to try and make really good music, not to try and be someone else.

    Our age range is 19 to 21, so realistically we're looking for people aged between 18 and 25.

    We have a hell of alot of fun and we hope to start auditioning people this weekend. We rehearse in Dedsound Studios in Dublin 12.
