as the title says I'm still awake and despite not wanting to do maths I find it passes the time when car related.

so anyways taking my cars average mpg at 42
    the mileage as 127,000
    60litre tank.

works out in euro at todays prices (144.9c) at €19,735.38 spent on fuel.

    or 13,620 litres.

    crazy stuff! :O

    what about yourselves?

Current car, 90,000 km at 7 l/100km = 6300 litres, or €8505, less than half the depreciation on the car over the 3 years.

I've one transit having done 250,000 miles in some 7 years

    Say 30 MPG = 8,300 gallons or 37,800LTs @ €1.37 = €51,786

Actually, when one works out figures, it's no wonder we were constantly broke. an we though we were doing well by today's standards.

Got my first car almost a year ago ,

    Just over 16,100 km
    @ 7 L per 100 KM

    Thats

    1127 Litres
    @ 1.44 per Litre

    => €1622.88

It's fair enough mileage but I'm still a little shocked at the total! :(

Why? Think of the amount you spend on alcohol or cigarettes or chocolate over a year if you stopped to total it up.

    10,000km @ 25mpg @ €1.44.9 (55 litre tank) = €1680 I think!
