world book day

    anybody know of any events happening for world book day 5th March ,im a distributor on that day but havent a clue what to do ,appreciate any suggestions, i have 4 dozen books to give away.

    can you not just give them to schools etc.All else fails go to your local charity shop and ask can you give them out on the day.?Cathy

    and there will be a lot of Book Crossers giving out books on the night:

    The plan is to distribute books as carefully as you can to people who wouldn't normally have access to these books. In reality, we all suspect the books will make their way to existing bibliophiles! So get your thinking caps on.....

    The Book Crossers in Dublin anyway, are meeting up (maybe in the Long Stone pub - to be confirmed) on the night to distribute books. There are other Book Crossers doing something similar in Cork.

    I don't know what part of the country you're in, but if you're near Dublin, let us know.

    It's probably best if you ask in the other thread if there is anyone giving out books in your area.

    I'm very undecided what to do. I haven't heard anything about the libraries doing anything on the night. There seems to be some activities during the day and early evening in City Hall, Dame St. Dublin, so that might be worth a visit.
