You're the first person to say that about there Primavera set, sigh. Well at least I'm prepared for it now and not goin in with mad high hopes!

Def don't go in with the hopes too high. I enjoyed the set alot, but i did feel it was lacking something...

Facilities on site will include three tented stages, a main stage, a central bar (all named after Bulmers products), graffiti canvasses and food stalls.

so there's a "main stage" in addition to these, presumably it's an outdoor one? has anyone been around the festival site and seen it?

White Tent - Undergrowth Stage, Blue Tent - Lighthouse Stage?

On the website it says 3 Stages , maybe the smaller one will be a circus tent or something on the lines of that , it wont be used for music maybe some entertainment

Hoping the main stage is open air. FLIPs will not translate well to a tent. :(

Well they were pretty good at Pukkelpop last year in the Marquee but i still would say they will be better outdoors

Traced down the pics on their Facebook. Says the big slopey field shot is the main stage field.

Yeah main stage is open air. Walked past the site this morning and it's looking good. One concern though is that the music tents are quite close together so sound leaking may be an issue.

    Non music related question here:

Do ya reckon people will be allowed to bring drink into the grounds?

I'm assuming prob not as bulmers wont want to lose out on sales!

Not really a festival if you cant sit around with a bag of cans!

Not likely. Although would be nice if they weren't overly strict.

Obviously you're not going to be allowed bring drink onto a licensed premises.

Just like every other licensed festival in the country, drink outside the main concert area.

The same question was asked on the festival's facebook page, here's the response.
"Joanne, sorry no alcohol will be permitted into the festival. We'll have Bulmers (full range of flavours), Becks, wine and soft drinks!"

Thanks guys just making sure i've got my game plan sorted for the two days.

Im just across the road so I'll just go back and forth from the apt during the day for a few sneaky cans!

New stella artios fridge will get some good usage:D

Really looking forward to flaming lips, aphex twin, dan le sac and scroobius pip and bombay bicycle club.

Anyone got any good shouts for upcoming/unknow bands to go see?

    Seriously??

Your saying that if you leave the venue of a 2 day/10 hour per day event that you wont be allowed back in??

    Seems pretty crazy to me!

See Yo La Tengo. They're brilliant.

BATS are worth checking out too if they don't clash with any of the big acts.

Tera Melos. They're on the Sargent House label with the likes of Maps & Atlases, Red Sparowes, and Adebisi Shank.

Good idea, let's do a few posts with 1 / 2 essential tracks from the bands that are playing shall we?

I'll start with Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip:

The Beat That My Heart Skipped
    Back from Hell

    And their funny X-Factor "appearance"

I saw Solar Bears in the Button Factory last weekend. Thought they were pretty decent alright.

Check out the TCD orchestra playing Daft punk, I saw it a few months back and it was savage. They're playing on the sunday, theres a few videos of it floating around on the youtube. The official video is a bit **** as it was just the encore ensemble and the guy singing is a douche but its still good.

God I can't wait for this! Aphex Twin is a must see, Caribou, Wild Beasts, Bipolar Empire, Trinity Orchestra, Yo La Tengo, Battles, Scroobius Pip, Ham Sandwich.... not in that order. There'll be some tough decisions with the clashes on times. Pretty crap you can only get Bulmers and Becks though... oh and not forgetting the (more than likely) cheap wine thats also on offer, would love to be able to bring in something more "spirit-ual". Looks like half of Boards is goin! :D
