I don't know that it will matter much....every one was crapping on here about the fact that the first show was so poorly publicised and there weren't enough updates etc etc....I fought on the show and it was actually the best I've been to. We were well looked after...the warm up area was great. The room was packed to the gills. Great cage. They had great tunes, dancing girls, an ample supply of ring girls (major distraction)...had I won or lost I wouldn't have had a single complaint about the show or how I was dealt with or treated and everyone at it seemed to have had a great time. Looking in from the outside...it seemed to be a major success. I think it was obviously well promoted in the local area and how the show 'rates' on boards probably made a bit less then feck alls difference on the show. I am sure a lot of people will go to Battlezone....but I am pretty sure that people in and around Portlaoise won't be....I'd say they'll be packing out The Heritage Hotel again and won't mind in the least where any one else is.

who is john peter elmo? what team does he fight out of??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36 KDavern

    Hi joey,this fight is for a charity,so I think he's an independent fighter ;)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 240 ✭✭tommyl2010

From what i hear they also wanted this fight at B class until he refused! Promoter wanting a 'charity' fight at b class with pro gloves involving a fighter not affiliated to a club and no experience!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36 KDavern

It was ment to be one round, but the guys asked for a full fight..they asked for B but it's C class now as far as I know..should be a good scrap between then anyway :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 525 ✭✭✭da-bres

Best of luck to both men, card looks great, Mccormac winner KO round one IMO

just 2 let you know tommy.. elmo wanted 2 do a full B class fight from the start.. i said it was for charity and it will be a C class it was elmo that wanted 2 fight with pro gloves not us ok... a few fighters pulled out so i asked elmo would he do a full C class fight he said no dude i want a full B class fight.. it was me who REFUSED him:p:p.. i told him see how he gets on with this fight 1st... has long has know elom he has beinging telling me that he is a kickboxer john that he is fighting is a kickboxer.. so what is the problem... the 2 guys want 2 get into mma and from what i,m hearing elmo is training away.... john has no mma experience so its a fair fight 2 kickboxer taking at it...:D:D
