It's all well and good beating Barcelona but can they win on a cold/wet/hurricane-y night against Stoke? We'll soon find out!

Arsenal: Szczesny, Sagna, Squillaci, Djourou, Clichy, Fabregas, Song, Wilshere, Walcott, Bendtner, Nasri. Subs: Almunia, Rosicky, Denilson, Arshavin, Eboue, Gibbs, Chamakh.

Stoke: Begovic, Wilson, Shawcross, Huth, Pugh, Pennant, Whitehead, Delap, Whelan, Walters, Carew. Subs: Sorensen, Higginbotham, Collins, Jones, Fuller, Diao, Wilkinson.

Big game for us this evening after a poor enough showing against Orient. A win would see us just a point off top, albeit having played a game more. Any old win would do, but hopefully we'll be going into the CC final on the back of a strong performance tonight.

Hoping to see plenty of this:

Should be a straight forward win for Arsenal but would not be suprised if Stoke nicked a 1-1. Arsenal's performances at the emirates this season has been suspect against the lesser teams ie.West Brom, Newcastle, Spurs.

Should be 3 points tonight for ye - but an early goal would not go astray. Stoke park the bus very well, they have had alot of experience of doing it.

He can't defend for toffee, so at least he can score now and again. :)

He looked pretty píssed. Walked off, didn't jog and didn't look free in his movement at all.

If he's back for Sunday it's not a complete disaster ;)

Given his history and arsenals luck hes out of sunday, we would need to hope RVP makes it

Without Fabregas and RvP for any sustained period and its curtains for the top trophies for Arsenal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,975 ✭✭✭iMuse

Only good thing is that nasri shines playing in cescs position so if its not long term its not the end of the world

Very true. Nasri playing centrally has been more effective than Cesc playing there this year.

Would be more worried about RVP but don't think that's too bad.

    Brilliant save from Szezney

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,570 ✭✭✭✭Frisbee

It's opened up for Wilshere to have a pop a few times already and he's opted to pass. He needs to shoot a bit more than he does, because he's well capable of banging them in from distance.

    Never a yellow for Walters!

Good enough half from Arsenal given they lost Cesc so early.

They need to keep focus though and play the same game without conceding stupid chances. Stoke will tire eventaully and there'll be late goals available.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,500 ✭✭✭Fuzzy_Dunlop

Cesc taken off as a precaution it seems. Hope it's not too bad.

Not a bad half from Arsenal, will need another goal though.

Absolutely brilliant stream, if it's like this for every game then it's worth far more than £3 a month.
