Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

i remember last year it happened while big brother was on it would work for one night but wouldnt work for a few nights after, now its after happening again and this is the second night, its very annoying when you want to watch something,

does anyone else have this problem or could you shed light on it for me or if its the box thats wrong

    thanks for your help

Sounds like your satellite dish is slightly mis-aligned or that you have water in the satellite cable that dries out when its warm and gets wet when it rains..

thanks steve would u know a handy way to find out if the dish is misaligned i think this could be it what we used do last year was leave it on bbc 2 and after a while the signal would come back but about ten mins after turning back to channel 4 the signal would go again, i will call a cable guy if i cant figure it out myself, just be handy to kno for future reference, its still gone at the moment on all channels, or what would cause a dish to misalign?

    thanks for the help,
    Viv

Have you checked the connection at the back of your box?

I had the same problem and found the cable was not entering box dead centre. Unscrewed it and made a small adjustment, no problems since.

although now thinking about it maybe its not the alignment as it has happened a good few times now and it has always come back and we have never changed anything maybe it is my connection point to my reciever would this be possible?

What do you mean by jump and roll? Is the picture and sound breaking up? How is the receiver connected to the TV?

Ya the picture and sound are breaking up. (on some channels more than others). The F.T.A. reciever is connected to the tv by scart cable but I checked that, no improvement.

The dish has most likely gone out of alignment and needs to be re-aligned. See following link:

water does get in the connections, it's happened to me, disconnect at the dish and just check if water runs out.

the wind can move your dish if it's very windy. you can buy a signal finder, which is like a small box that you connect between the dish and the wire that goes into your house, it makes a buzz when you hit the signal, they are quite cheap, about €20 or €30, (you take it off once you get the signal) and then you'll have it if it happens again

We had high winds down here a week or two ago so that could be it. I'll pick up one of those sat finders and see can I sort it out. I'll check has any water gotten into the connections too while I'm up there.

    Thanks Lads:)
