Has anyone noticed an increase in the number of abandoned cars/vans around Balbriggan recently?

Who do you notify to get them moved?

Fingal Co Co Litter Dept would be a good place to start.

Dumped cars can only be removed if their tax & insurance is out of date and there is no way for the council to contact the owners. If you're concerned that a car has been dumped you should approach the Council to see if the cars can be removed.

VEHICLE REMOVAL Contact: 8906799 / envserv@fingalcoco.ie
Did you know that there are 3 Authorised Treatment Facilities in the Fingal area where you can bring your old car for recycling free of charge? For further details go to the End of Life Vehicles section of our Waste Enforcement/Regulation section.
The Council also provides a service whereby we will collect and dispose of your unwanted car for a fee of €75.00 (Inclusive of VAT @ 21%) which is payable in advance.
We also remove abandoned cars subject to conditions. We will only remove abandoned vehicles from public property and will not enter private property or estates that are not taken in charge to remove such vehicles.

Thanks Eoino, There has been a few the last few weeks old vans/cars just parked and filled with black plastic bags and rubbish. I've seen the guards tow some but have never seen so many just appear out of nowhere all of a sudden!
