savage ball by agger to kuyt, ngog really should have scored

Poor by Ngog, not clinical enough

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,369 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

good God N'Gog, you should have been running onto that rather than having to shoot from behind you slightly.

    and Joe you coward.

very lucky at the other end after that ridiculous pass from Lucas, then dive in from the Greek. thank Christ again for Agger.

That was criminal from Ngog & Cole

    Classy by Agger though

Kelly looking excellent again tonight. Looking like a real gem!

Ngog has gone backwards since KD took over. He really needs to pull his finger out soon!

Poulsen is so rank that I'd rather have Salif Diao back playing CM for us. He's gotta be in the running for our worst ever buy!

Absolutely.....it's like he's afraid to score.

Can't wait to see Carroll replace him.

    Ngog is a terrible finisher

Agree but maybe the high foot coming in from Keeper just put him off!

I'm failing to see how anyone could describe Cole's performance so far as anything other than terrible. He seems lost out there. Watch him off the ball; it's comedic.

The less said about Poulsen the better.

    Cole - journeyman

    Poulsen = ?

Kelly has been outstanding but it says alot when our biggest attacking threat is our right back! Agger also having a really good game, that ball to Kuyt for the Ngog chance was incredible.

Everyone else has been pretty poor with Poulsen having a shocker playing like his usual self.

    Opr

After last weeks minimalist movement, this is like the 1812 Overture but all the action is coming from some truly bad error filled football.

I can only pray Poulson gets the Spanish Archer or picks up another card, cos 10 men might be preferable. Kuyt continues to play with all the poise of a coal laden barge in a gale. Martin Kelly again is providing most of the sparks on the right. Merieles could well score, Lucas really needs to be allowed to get forwards more. Cole is marginal out wide.

Really though, the way the keeper jumped would scare the U-12's. He really shouldnt be falling for that as a pro.

He wasnt that close. cole bottled it

can I risk sounding like a broken record and ask for pacheco?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 12,832 ✭✭✭✭Blatter

Any chances of note for either side in this?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Several all spurned or averted by last ditch defending/goalkeeping.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,595 ✭✭✭kingshankly

I doubt these two games will be released in a box set

I wonder if KK will change it.....go to a similar formation like against Chelsea.

Stick Pacheco on and a defender off.....would that work or am I mad?

    Jesus this is muck...

I don't really expect to see it happening but if it was me I would take off Ngog, move Kuyt upfront and bring on Pacheco.

Yeah, pool should have had a pen after 2 minutes. Meireles should have scored after a great ball in from Kelly. Ngog should have done better with a shot, and Cole was a big girly man for the follow up when he practically jumped out of the way of the keeper instead of going for the ball.

Yeah i'd go with that too. And remind cole he's playing as a winger. Always looks **** when he comes inside. Save that for when you have some confidence Joe, for the moment stick to the space.

I don't find myself normally find myself in agreement with Phil Babb but he was right there....Carroll would have buried that ball (and possibly the goalie as well) with that chance that Joke Hole wussed out of.

@SOCCER4LIFE - Not a whole bunch of chances so far - Meireles half-volley that flew over, decent header from Soto, and the Ngog/Cole snafu described in numerous posts above

Liverpool looking a lot sharper at the start of the second half. Fancy they will do it.

Just as I say that an awful shot from Ngog. Still I'm gonna back them now at evens.

in everything he does N'Gog seems to think he has a fúcking lifetime on the ball.

if he just had a quicker thought process he might turn into a very good player for us.

and, judging by that, if he could shoot too. :p

    Ngog

    2 chances - 2 complete **** ups.

Said it many's the time before, but we really might as well give Jova a shot up front. We're creating chances, may as well at least try him in his best position. We're crying out for an experienced centre forward in this game.
