MyGamerCard.net Shut Down

Logged into boards this morning and noticed my sig had changed to show mygamergard.net has closed.

Reading the letter on the site now blames a mixture of xbox withdrawing support for the community dev program and other companies overloading servers for marketing information.

Not sure how many folk on here used the site but it's a sad day for me. Kinda liked the particular card I'd settled on.

MGC had been in a steady decline over the past year or so, I partially put the blame on the userbase on the forums, who had managed to make all of us veterans on the forums leave due to their attitude.

Especially after yesterday when an admin account was hacked and the inbuilt mailer in the forum software used to send a spam/phishing link around to a majority of the userbase.

I only wish I know of a good alternative for the lot of you, I'm content with my Raptr signature though.

I will miss it. Served me well for years. Quite happy with my new one though and the lovely Gears of War theme to come with it.
