Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi guys,

This might be a bit of a long shot but here it goes. I am completely new to photography and have just been given an Olympus E400 DSLR with the kit lense from a friend in order to start off and practice. My problem is that the lense is damaged. I was wondering if anyone on the forum might have the Olympus Zuikio Digital 14-42mm kit lense that they are no longer using and might be willing to donate or sell for a small fee in order to get me started. I can collect anywhere in Dublin.

    Thanks,

    Danwin

Good luck finding a lens.. you should widen your search a little if hoping for donations though! ;)

That series of camera has a wide range of lenses available.. and is supposed to be a pretty good camera by all accounts.. so get a lens & get snapping! =D

Conns cameras have a number of second hand lenses for this camera. You can pick up the 14-42/5 for 99 euros if thats within your budget.

Try eBaaaay, here's an example ;)
Also here's a very good resource for anything Olympus. Best of luck and happy snapping.

Cheers for the replies guys. Thanks for the suggestions. I guess I naively thought that since it was a cheap kit lense that alot of people might have moved on from using it and might have one knocking around that is no longer used. I guess I'll learn.
