    It's like christmas mornings, I'm a grown man, it's years since I've been so excited. It's gonna take us a while to figure out how each of our new toys works but our team is already playing very well so we can just slip them in. Happy days.

    AVB, Bandini and Levy, take a bow.

    That's a lot of money for a left back. AVB obviously rates him.

    I was impressed by him at Benfica, he stood out at the 2010 WC and he got in the Team of the Tournament at the Euros last year.......... but €20m for a left back??? Who have we become?! :D

    Well, I also read on twitter that the Coentrao deal would mean that Madrid wouldn't have to pay us any outstanding money from the Modric deal.

    It really is amazing the number of class players that we were/are able to purchase for the sale of one amazing player. While Gareth Bale is unreal, I would still prefer to have what we have now than just have Gareth.

    1 in 17 for Bolton. :eek::eek:

    I'd say Jamie Carragher has a better goal ratio for Bolton than Rodrigo!!

    Here, here, and here.

    I got them from Kick News, it's a great little site for combining all the deals and rumors from various sites, papers, etc.

    Wow - what a transfer window.

    Who would have thought that the doom and gloom of losing Bale when we got 5th last year could be replaced with what amounts to welcoming and rejoicing the changes in the squad triggered by his departure? It's almost a case of being better off now for it. What makes this all the more sweet is the spending spree / squad improving is being done without the help of a sugar Daddy like Chelsea and Man City etc. This is being done from within - developed an asset and sold for a profit and not just Bale. Levy has played an absolute blinder on this. Even down to buying out Southamptons cut of a Bale sale for a fraction of what it would have been worth now last year.

    A very exciting season ahead !

    You're going to wake up in a shower on Tuesday morning and Dempsey will still be our no. 10 behind Defoe
