Considering how many players have already been sold I'd call BS on that particular bit - it seems they'll sell any player who can generate decent cash for them.

Unlikely. Every negotiation starts with a low ball offer from the bidder and a high ball offer from the seller. First rule of business.

I reckon this was in response to Southampton having sold most of their first team already this summer and fear of fans backlash.

I think they'd be mad not to sell Rodriguez in a way. He'll likely go for a smaller fee in a year or two's time if they don't, plus they need players now and he's out for nearly half the season.

Does Rod not have a buyout clause? And Schneiderlin has put in a transfer request? Damn all the chairman can do if they want to go, we've already learned that

Also, he carefully selected what he said, he never said they wouldn't be sold, in fact the opposite, said they were not for sale but that every player has a price.

Yeah, but has a very good season in Spain with Rayo, got some amazing goals. I'd keep him for Europe, if only because he speaks the same language as Lamella and the manager

He had a few nice goals alright but went too hot and cold. Was watching him in pre-season and thought him and Lamella linked up well so maybe he's come on a bit and wanting to prove himself.
