I'd love to to know why, after two months of the transfer window has passed, we are only now tabling a bid for Samba.

Surely we knew that we needed a centre-half a long time ago...?! Soon we'll be getting desperate and the prices will go up! Wheres the CL money gone?!

As for Barton or Adebayor, too disruptive...

Im getting worried too, but i wont mind if it means waiting until late august to get the right players.

I think Adebayor is exactly what we need at the moment. Someone who knows where the goal is. We dont know what exactly happened with him regarding attitude at previous clubs but, and he could turn out to be a d**k but he could be class. It's one of those gambles we have to take right now. The strikers we have aren't doing the business so we need someone who will.

I don't mind Adebayor coming at all. Anyone who is hated by City & Arsenal fans so much can't be all bad :)

Saw that. Hopefully he impresses during the friendly match and we make a move.

Would love to see us make a late move for Benzama next week.

Benzema and Llorente up front.. now that would be something.

Lol - Benzema? Dream on :) Would love it tho, dont get me wrong....

Benzema stated last week he was really happy at Real and didn't want to leave.

Llorente looks like the big signing we are looking for. Game tomorrow on ITV4 against Athletico Bilbao at 5.15pm. I fully expect us to make an offer... there isn't much else out there tbh.

Didn't José say he is really happy with Benzema and will play a big part for them next season? He did play very iirc when Higuain was injured and even stopped returning to the first team.
    No hoper IMO

I would kill to have Llorente at Spurs.. The guy is just class. Up front with VdV they could do some damage!

    Would love this also.

Benzema/Adebayor are not realistic targets. These players are already on a salary 2/3 times the max salary Spurs can/will pay. Would they take the salary drop....doubt it !! I don't think Llorente is in the same salary bracket as these two and would be more realistic.........time will tell

Supposedly Diarra has signed tonight and Wilson is off to Stoke for about 10mil.

Heard we were in talks alright with Diarra.

He'll be a quality addition. Sandro and Diarra in the middle of the park in those tough away games sounds very nice.

Odd signing in a sense that centre midfield is one of our strongest areas. But I definitely would not say no to Lass. Hopefully we got him at a good price/wages and that we can shift Pal onto Stoke for a good price. Lass is definitely and upgrade anyway.

Just a thought (not a hysterical reaction!!:)) : Is the well publicised violence and unrest in the immediate area likely to put off potential signings ?

Wouldn't matter one bit to pro footballers mate. They will still get well paid and will live behind big walls and gates.

Also they are more likely to live pretty far away from There anyway even Muswell hill probably won't be nice enough for most footballers.

Harry Redknapp will be in attendance for today's Eredivisie season opener between NAC Breda and FC Twente. According to rumors, the reason for Redknapp's trip is to get a firsthand look at 25yr old FC Twente winger Bryan Ruiz..

As a winger this guy scores 1 in every 2/3 games, could Aaron be on the move..?

I think the answer is definitely a YES.
Of course, none of the players live anywhere even close to nearby but if you are a potential signing and you're thinking of moving from spain or Italy to north london and the first thing you see/hear about is the riots, your gonna think twice.... Espically if your missus wears the trousers - she aint gonna come near the place.

If the player is british or know the country then its unlikely to put them off but if a johnny foreihner then I'd say it might do.

I'd expect another push this week for a move out of the area again. Fear of more damage to club property will be mentioned

I don't think so I think it will be a push to keep us there if we left the area would plummet even further. We could probably get extra funding because of it.

Agreed, im sure the local politicians and community groups will demand some government funding to go ahead with the regeneration of the area. Levy will get his stadium and a bit of help funding it and the govt can claim the pr for investing in regeneration of one of the most run down areas of london.

The only time the players go anywhere near Tottenham is on match day. They don't need to.
