    Mertesacker would have been a good buy, but looks like Arsenal have him now (and only for 8mill). Hargreaves is apparently at City as well, which is pretty weird.

    Per isn't great, very immobile, he won't suit the PL imo. Joe Cole going to Lille and Hargreaves to City, dodged 2 bullets nicely. Hope Levy & Arry cop the fcuk on and get in a CB & CM before tomorrow night.

    Slavan Billic has been quoted as stating, after speaking with Modric, that Modric is staying with Spurs. Muntari was not good enough to stay at Sunderland so I'd be pretty pissed off if he ends up a Spurs

    Yep, Harry on SSN saying the Parker deal is close. Harry also mentioned he expects more busines. Crouch may go - he doesn't want him to but it's up to Crouch as there are a few clubs interested in him. Apparently a bid for Cahill has gone in too.

    we need cahill so badly. why dosent he watch crouch to go? he is rubbish.

    Sell Crouch and put a real proper bid in for Cahill .. Happy days .. things very quiet regarding Bently,Jenas .. Think Hutton was linked with Villa .. Utd Cahmpions have all their business done and dusted - no idea why we cant do the same .. are we being held hostage by Modric - same as Berbatov a few years back !!!

    If we got both Parker and Cahill at this point reckon that'd be a pretty good transfer window including Ade. Parker wasn't on my list earlier this summer but with Sandro injured and Hudd not 100%

    I know he's not prolific but he can be very useful, especially in the EL. He gives us another dimenion.

    remember when all we had was Robbie and Defoe up front and we where crying out for something different. Crouchie gave us that. If Ade gets injured for any lennght of time we are going to end up with Defoe and VDV upfront and that has never worked to date....

    anyone else see the video of corluka and modric at the pool on international duty with croatia. corluka had one huge tanker of beer in his hand, drinking away. granted, he prob only had the one but still....
