Helicopter activity in Clonsilla/Ongar at night?

Has anybody else noticed the frequent helicopter activity over Clonsilla/Ongar this week? I've been sneaking out at night for a cigarette :o and noticed how they've been hovering the area this week. Anyone know anything?

Happens a lot around the M50. Sometimes they turn on the search light.

I thought it was AA traffic watch or something...but if its really foggy and dark it looks like an alien aircraft :-D
