Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is it plugged in or fully charged.. ?
Does anything happen on the screen at all?
Do you hear any noise when you switch on the power button?

If you know it's running but nothing is happening on screen, you could connect it to a monitor if you have one. Instructions here

If you don't see anything on the monitor after connecting it, this may indicate a motherboard problem.

Thanks for your speedy replies, yes laptop is plugged in and charged and the lights at the front indicate this but the screen remains black.

If you shine a torch or light on the screen can you make out any picture? If so its possibly the LCD Inverter that's dead, inverters can be picked up cheap enough on ebay (relatively speaking) and are not too hard to install if your comfortable with upgrading computers, also plug the system into an external display will prove if its only a screen display problem,
