Had it back in the eighties, course twas all paper emails in those days, it was not until the internet that gmail really took off.

No idea. I joined when invites were hard to get. I have kept it clean though, so I dont have my join mail.

march 04, 16000 emails. I think some are missing though, it goes months at a time without an email back then, no greetings from gmail etc

06/10/04 was my first mail to it, I remember joining some forum vaguely so I was in line for someone to send on an invite, they were hard enough to get back then, such a long time ago thinking about it, time certainly flies by...

Anyway you can see your join date on gmail without the congratulatory email?

That came a few months after my first email! Think back then when you got your a/c there was no welcome mail!
