Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Having attended a workshop with Ronan Palliser I have been experimenting with a single off camera flash with home made diffuser and lastolite reflector. Any C&C on these is most gratefully appreciated.

Subjects look well exposed but the backgrounds are very distracting

First one looks beautifully lit, but the second has waay overcooked colours.

Yes, the backgrounds are distracting, but thats an easy enough fix provided you can get the subject lit properly.

Both are well lit, and while the lego colours are saturated I think it suits the subject. So, from a lighting POV I think you are doing well. The backgrounds are poor though, and really detract from the photos. I suggest you get some sheets of A3 paper, or coloured card for use as backdrop.

Would you mind sharing your setup? I have done a few here, if you are interested..Cheers.
