    m1 is unlocked with veteran status. if you have played other battlefield games before on your gamertag you can unlock it.

    You need Veteran level 1 status. Plenty of guides about on how to achieve that, but BF Heroes was enough in the past.

    No. It's veteran level 1 or nothing, but Heroes and P4F are free so not much room there to complain.
