    anyone owned/shoot/held one of these rifles if so what was it like and what calibre was it?

    I held 1 tonight in .223. Nice weight not too heavy, felt well balanced in the shoulder. The comb & pistol grip are a bit slim IMO. But overall a nice rifle.

    In a previous life I was involved with importing Savage rifles into Ireland. Never had a problem with anythingfrom a .22 to ,308. there good reliable guns. Like every other manufacturer there will be the odd one that needs attention, but overall there a solid preformer. and reasonably priced if I remember correctly. Can't really telll from photo which model it is, but check out there website
