    Clattenburg is the same ref that gifted Nani a goal at OT against Spurs. He is terrified of upsetting Fergie and gives them everything. That is a fact. He should not be allowed referee any Utd. games in the future as he is clearly biased.

    are you talking about the one where gomes threw the ball down while play was ongoing coz he thought he'd been given a free and nani scored? coz there was feck all wrong with that from the ref's point of view; you play to the whistle

    Ya the same ref that told the Spurs players to go away yet allowed Ferdinand mouth in his ear before he made a decision. Its one rule for Utd players and a different rule for everyone else with him.

    which spurs players did he tell to go away out of curiousity? ferdinand, as captain, is allowed to speak to the referee, players who arent captain are not unless he allows it. again i dont see the issue here

    there was no decision to be made by him, gomes threw the ball on the ground, nani put it in the back of the net. goal in anyones language

    Modric as captain was told to go away and then given a card.
    The main issue with that was he said he was playing advantage but failed to signal it. But Gomes should of played to the whistle and cost us a goal because of it.

    The main issue is Gomes is an idiot, didn't play the whistle, didn't take the free kick from where he thought the foul occurred, didn't take the kick immediately, and seemed to decide to play brinksmanship with the ref.

    I'm not denying Gomes was at fault but it's the fact clattenburg was able to make the situation worse.
