Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm getting pee'd off with Java constant updates. Even though I turn off automatic updates it re-enables its every boot. I've uninstalled it for now. Adobe PDF also updates an unreal amount of times. Its like Spam updates.

go to start, run, type msconfig

than disable all the things that are annoying you under the services tab.

End the process called jusched.exe. It's the java updater.

There shouldnt be that many Java updates.. Are you sure you are not just cancelling the same update every time?

And stop it starting next time, probably here in the Registry:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

on my machine its an entry called SunJavaUpdateSched

I usually let it run. Its just happening so often now that I got tired of it.

Obviously its something specific to my machine. I've uninstalled it. Hasn't effected anything.

I know what you're saying man, ridiculous amount of updates. one obvious option is to uninstall the thing, that is of course unless you're using it.

changing your registry to exclude jushed.exe is another option but this means you'll have an unpatched java interpreter on your system which can be activated and exploited by any webpage you browse to on the net.
(noscript firefox addon can negate this though)

if you do decide to disable the updater I'd recommend you use Ccleaner as opposed to manually editing the registry. It's dead easy to use, has many useful features and it's free.

You can enable and disable your startup programs easily.
