I'm working late in the city centre and will be looking for a bite eat. Don't really want fast food. Any ideas where I can go in town for a decent bit of grub without looking like I've been stood up?

I always eat by myself in town as I quite like my own company, but I guess you should bring a book along with you If you don't wana look totally lonely.

Boojum in the Italian quarter I reckon would be a good spot for you. Its healthy, yummy Burritos and the seating is such that you will have to share tables with others, so you won't look so alone.

    How about one of the following;

Gourmet Burger Kitchen, South Anne Street
    Wagamamma, Stephens Green Shopping Centre

    I'll go there.

+1 for Boojum, the shredded beef burittos are savage! Kind of limited after that, I know you said no fast food but Ricks or Zaytoon would be good spots too.

Is Yo Sushi still really expensive?

I usually pop in on Mondays if I'm going. All the blue plates are €3, and free water!

Sounds good! I should start going back, making my own sushi is proving ... unpalatable.

    Bring a book! That's what I'd normally do, it's nice :)

O'Neills on Suffolk Street serve pub grub around then:

Great Food served daily from 10.30am until 10.30pm
Carvery, Bar Menu, Sandwich Bar, Tea and Coffee.

I should probably pitch in a suggestion. The Good Food Company on South William Street does great evening meals in a cafe setting so it wont be as weird as going to a full blown couples restaurant on your own.

Im usually there reading a book.

So Feoras, how did it go at Boojum??

  • Registered Users Posts: 18 Feoras

It was closed. They close at 9pm. But I am going to go there this evening at around 7pm.
Last night I went to Yamamori Sushi instead. The sushi is very good and I could sit at the bar. But I would have preferred the Mexican food. Looking forward to going there tonight. Will report back later.
Thanks for all the suggestions guys.

The Quays one is Yamamori Sushi. The one on George's St is Yamamori Noodles.

Ciao Bella Roma on Parliament St. for excellent pizza! It's one of the few places in city centre that's true to real Italian pizza.
