Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    March 2011 walk:

    I am thinking of:
    Time: 7pm
Date: Wednesday 9th March (Wednesday just for DanKing :P)
    Start: St. Patricks Cathedral
Direction: Down Patrick St towards Christchurch Cathedral, from there down Windtavern Street to take photos of the Four Courts from either side of the Liffey.

    Who is welcome?
Everybody! Even if you have a Point & Shoot or a film camera, are an amateur or Pro. Everybody is welcome.
You will need a tripod, if you don't have one then say so here and someone may have a spare for you.

Register your interest here and I will DM you my mobile num nearer the date.
Mention what camera you have and somebody might bring a spare lens for you to try.

I'll be there too (60D) seeing as your magical powers seem to be able to guarantee dry weather. Just get the pub agreed in advance.

I got to borrow a very nice 85 1.4 on the last one, and that convinced me enough to go buy an 85mm 1.8 shortly after. If anyone is willing to loan me a macro on the night I'd be very grateful. I'll trade my 85mm for it for insurance, in case you don't trust me :D

    Using a D90 btw, w/Tammy 17-50 f/2.8, nikon 85 1.8D

    - Good pub for showcasing bands butit is far too pricey and they run out of brands far too often and u have to end up some other expensive beer etc :P Bouncers are fairly ok and u get pizza for 3 euros a slice!

Thanks for organising this Will. Pity about the rain. Myself and Fran actually got a few shots on the way home and continued further a field while the rain held off. Looking forward to the next one and less rain. Was good meeting a few like minded people.

    Rgds,

    Dave

A high attrition rate due to rain drops on the lens and blurring due to the strong breeze, it was still an enjoyable night though.
