Personally I think hi-caps are fine in light support guns.

I know a HBAR or L86LSW aren't belt-fed, but if you're playing with something that's normally used on a bipod to spray rounds for suppressive fire I don't see the harm. You'll have to rewind every 30 rounds anyway, just like you'd either have to change mags or pause for barrel cooling in the real world.

    Proper support guns only, though.

Not much research needed for this but how and ever. here we go

AUG A1: Standard version introduced in 1977. Available with a choice of olive or black furniture.[8]
AUG A2: Similar to the AUG A1, but features a redesigned charging handle and a detachable telescopic sight which can be replaced with a MIL-STD-1913 rail.[8]
AUG A3: Similar to the AUG A2, but features a MIL-STD-1913 rail on top of the receiver, and an external bolt release.[9]
AUG A3 SF (also known as the AUG A2 Commando): Similar to the AUG A2, but features MIL-STD-1913 rails mounted on the telescopic sight and on the right side of the receiver, and includes an external bolt release.[10] It was adopted by the Austrian Special Forces in late 2007.[11]
AUG A3 SA USA: Semi-automatic AUG A3 with a 407 mm (16.0 in) barrel, made available for the U.S. civilian market in April 2009.[12][13]
    AUG P: Semi-automatic AUG A1 with a shorter, 407 mm (16.0 in) barrel.
AUG P Special Receiver: Similar to the AUG P, but features a MIL-STD-1913 rail on top of the receiver.
AUG 9mm (also known as the AUG SMG or AUG Para): Chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum and produced since 1988.[1] Differs from A1 model in barrel, bolt, magazine and a magazine well adapter, which allows the rifle to feed from Steyr MPi 69 magazines. This version operates as a blowback firearm, without use of the rifle's gas system.[14] For some time a kit of the above components was available to convert any AUG into a 9mm variant.[15]
AUG A3 9mm XS: 9mm version of the AUG A3, similar to the AUG 9mm. Features a 325 mm (12.8 in) barrel and Picatinny rail system.[16]
AUG M203: An AUG modified for use with the M203 grenade launcher.
AUG LSW (Light Support Weapon): A family of light support versions of the AUG.
AUG HBAR (Heavy-Barreled Automatic Rifle): A longer, heavier-barreled version for use as a light machine gun.
For you Aug fanatics Like me :P theres a few variations.

In Bold is the variation i plan to use :D

Team tango got their asses tangoed. No comms no leader no direction.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,291 ✭✭✭✭Gatling

Team tango had fun ,team captain was busy getting kills in the enemy village along with the our medic ,at the debrief everybody was happy ,yes people didn't bring comms the majority will have learned that comms is essential in a night game ,the first night game at hrta for 4 years ,from all accounts players want more night ops, most of the lads playing never played at night and didn't expect the difficulties involves

The name of the game is fun .
and the majority went home happy and looking forward to next night op .

Attitudes and chest beating should be left at home

if this is directed at me I as u to withdraw it. When I show up to playat any event I like to play hard and always try to active the best standard. Being a fan of night games i have learnt what is the min standard required and last night did not meet that for the reasons I said earlier. I never said fun wasn't had. I rely enjoyed a 20min belly crawl along with a sweet knife and glock kill.
Before the after briefing I did talk to the Dave and told him my opinion.

"Standards" that weren't met as this was the first time many players had played a night game, myself included- so stop bringing them down. I felt they did well. You weren't the "Anything that rattles get rid of it" guy, were you?

Dave, great game you put together, looking forward to the next one :)
Everyone played very well and the craic was great - pity I had to drop out early, pulled a muscle and could just about manage to walk.

Ahh last night was great, sorry I had to drop out and dash home, had to bring me little one to the ER :(, nothing seriuos do :D.

Man been shot and not knowing were it came from is scary but deadly, I felt like a rabbit been hunted and blind spotted all the time, great few hours I had, was intense just sitting there waiting and looking and then bam loads of action.

Really looking forward to the next one Awesome Night Dave :D

Absolutely brilliant game last night Dave, (and everyone else) I had a great time and i can definitely say the same for Jimmy aswell! Totally different experience to me from any other games I've played before, learnt alot about airsoft in general. And it's good to know that it actually is possible to slow me down :p

Would you tell us what your minimum standard is please.

I observed the entire proceedings on Saturday evening and considering there were so many first timers, I thought it went well. The players I spoke to all learned something and were very keen to come back and try again.

There's something so cool about night fighting... I just love it.:D:D:D
Such a different dimension to the game.
I had a blast - loved the crack (nappy filling stuff)
I think everyone I spoke to really enjoyed it as well.

Great to see Lemming and have a natter too.
Really great evening, roll on the next!

Thanks Dave, Paul and Mel and all the players who make it what it is.;)
