Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hello There,

If you are a Sole Trader with NOemployees - you really don't need a package.

If you are a Sole Trader WITH employees - get a person that knows about Payroll to SET IT UP PROPERLY. It's easy after that. The set up is critical. Using phone support (Free) to companies like Thesaurus is easy.

PM me if you need more advice.

    Regards,

    Hi Op,

With regard to a training resource if you do not want to do a course what about the IPASS book? They also do a payroll training manual.

    http://www.ipass.ie/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&id=56&Itemid=88

With regard to doing your payroll how many employees do you have? Sage Quickpay Free is a free package that you can download that will do full payroll for up to five employees. You also get 30 days free support with that so calling in and using that might help you with getting started. It is up to date for 2011 payroll.

    Hi,

The IPASS book is very good, might be a bit advanced though, you should also try http://www.learnpayroll.ie they have a computer version of their basic payroll course that you can get on CD.

I wouldnt worry to much about payroll though, a good accountant should take care of it for you.
