Hey, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the tuesday night nightlife is like in Castlebar. Is it heaving with people? Or deserted? What are the best pubs/clubs etc? Thanks for helping! =)

If it's anything like Ballina or most other provincial towns expect a quiet, peaceful, solitary night.

Let us know how you get on......

Cox's is deserted in the first half of the week. From Thursday nights on it gradually grows to being packed from about 1.00am onward on Saturday nights.

You have just described above what most places are like in Ballina too. The social life in towns is practically non-existent at the moment.
