This is awful! I mean there are so many RPT teachers, to keep us all hangingis very unfair. Surely they have a good idea by now :(

I'm in Cork and my Principal told me that redeployment is finished, we were all in signing RPT contracts during the week.

Anybody out there received confirmation that their rpt contract will not be renewed because of redeployment?

I'm going into my 4th year RPT in a school in the West. I've been told by management that I have 14 hrs in Sept. Does this mean my CID will be 14hrs.. I am greatful to have a job but a bit annoyed because i've had 22 for the last 3 yrs.

In a word, yes. It's only what you have in your fourth year that counts for CID. Why the sudden cut in hours? Are there major cutbacks in your school or did someone get redeployed in and get some of your hours??

We didn't have any redeployment but we have been badly cut with traveller & LCVP grants etc. All RPT Teachers are down to 10-14 hrs. I am the onlt one going into 4th yr RPT.He said he will appeal our SEN ALLOCATION but cant see hrs improving

If there are not enough hours in a subject to keep all the RPT teachers what criteria other than seniority can management use to decide. For seniority, does mat leave, sick, leave, career break, h dip contracts count the same as being on your own hours?
