Meteor?

Was heading into galway at around 8pm...just coming out of oughterard, when my son noticed something moving across the sky at speed, I only saw it for a few seconds...it was white & BIG with a tint of orange/red & a visible trail behind it. Meteor more than likely, but it was moving across the sky as opposed to falling.…

The ISS shouldn't have a trail as far as I know (unless it's entering the atmosphere) probably orbital debris or a meteor skimming the atmosphere.

... or the apocalypse.
