Parks in Portlaoise

    Just moved to Portlaoise recently and wondering does anyone knows of a good park for walking dogs in the area?

    Togher woods (past the rugby club) by the midway roundabout.

    Small dunnes stores on the mountmellick road past campus garage. Walk down as if you are going to the lesuire centre but not that far. It's just on the right; kind of hidden beside a house.

    The Vet clinic in the town, thre is a big park here beside it.

    The heath, open space and very beautiful space too.

    As a fellow dog lover I thought you might fancy looking at this post I made up a few months back with some good places to walk your dogs in Laois with pics, directions & info (inc Tougher woods) cos I was new to Portlaoise too and wanted to share where I'd found :)

    Anyone know distance from Tougher woods Carpark all around the outer track.
    I Jog it twice weekly just curious how many kms?

    Depending on the route you take but roughly 2 mile
