Looks Lennon started something. He is a nasty character. I remember him trying to start on a young Aiden McGeady a few years ago during a match they were 7-0 or so up. McGeady seems like a good lad as well and so does McCoist

    And you're a supporter of the Hamilton v St.Mirren league, what's your point?

Anyway, I thought the game was decent, the hard tackles always add the extra dimension to the Old Firm. I love to see strong tackles, but I hate the snakey ones like Bougherra's.

It wasn't a good standard of football though mate, and I'm sure the majority of neutrals will agree with that.

It was an entertaining game because there were a number of poor tackles flying in, plenty of red and yellow cards, and fights between both players and management.

The standard of football on show didn't make the game entertaining.

Wigan/Wolves is the worst the EPL can offer.

Celtic/Rangers is the best the SPL can offer.

I don't see how anyone can deny the most entertaining thing and most noteworthy thing from the game was the aggro. Its all thats been discussed in the thread really. Take that away and you have a pretty poor game of football, between two pretty poor teams.

Yet they both have good records of getting results again the best in the EPL, despite the financial gulf between the leagues that they compete in

I think you'll find it was PARKHEAD67 that brought up the EPL first, so you should give out to him for it.

Hardly going to plan with a performance like that, Rangers look wrecked and out on their feet with 20 minutes to go. Not to mention their lack of discipline and thuggery at times. Rangers squad looks very weak now and Papac might be out for a while.

So for him to react like that twice, suggests to me that Lennon said something OTT to Diouf in the first incident, and it boiled over.

What insult could you possibly throw at Diouf that would be considered OTT? Unless he blamed him for the Holocaust or 9/11, Lennon was probably right in what he said. Im not defending Lennon btw, just pointing out that Doiuf is as low as they come and has earned all the abuse he gets

Diouf has been compared to a sewer rat. Which in fairness is unfair. If he was indeed born of sewer rats, they would have publically disowned him by this point.

See this is something that i dont particularly care for.

Diouf has a horrible past, and tonight he didnt do himself any favours either.

But we have now seen Celtic fans throwing coins at him on two seperate occasions, and Lennon have a go at him out of nowhere it seemed tonight.

If this was any other player it would have been an issue, however because it is diouf it is acceptable? I dont buy that at all.

Diouf is actually quite a good player - Packie Bonnar was 100% correct at the end, Diouf needs to concentrate on his football and ignore everything else if Rangers are to get the best out of him.
