    Hi folks,
Thinking of putting down a wildflower meadow of sorts out the back of the house on maybe 1/2 acre, so looking for some native grasses & wildflowers to seed. The ground is bare at the moment. The soil is ok, neutral, clay, but not too heavy.

Pretty sure I won't get this type of seed down the local co-op, is there a supplier anyone could reccomend that does a product like this?

Have looked at seedsavers & future forests but nothing suitable there...

    Any tips welcome!

don't forget that a lot of native wildflowers will not thrive if the soil is too fertile; they'll be outcompeted. one tip i've heard is to sow grass seed and mow the lawn for a season, removing the clippings each time, which will reduce the fertility of the soil.
