Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That all right Cicero. I was doomed from the start anyway. No way would I see Easter Monday without Choccie all over my kisser! :D

As a child I thought that easter egg chocolate before breakfast on Easter Sunday morning tasted quite different to any other chocolate! I don't eat chocolate at all now, so it has been a choccy-free zone for me today.

Why not forward the clock in your laptop, watch, mobile and don't look at any public timepieces. And ask for your bill to be hand written - thereby excluding the date. Then all should be fine. Prost!

I'd lose face infront of Mrs.Goat and she'd never ever let me live it down. She'd gleefully facebork humilate me. :o

Nothing escapes her attention, ever. She is attuned to everything I do, say or think. She is listening to my thoughts right now and is forming her response and laying her plans. When she plays chess she dosen't think 2 or 3 or 4 moves ahead, she plans GAMES ahead.
Often I've been greeted with "You lost"
    Errrr, what?
"The game of chess we will play next Tuesday, you lose it."
    Oh, OK then. :o

Yes, if it's medicinal it doesn't count as a drink.

The mills of God grind slowly ............ but they are getting faster

Got my Resident's Permit from the postman just now ............ so am fully settled in.

Bright sunshine and budding trees and typical Spring weather forecasted for the next week. A few places not far from here had 6" snow last Monday night!

Am being hero worshipped by the hounds .......... gave them mac 'n cheese instead of the usual dog food. Discipline has come a long way since I keep a shaky biscuit bag inside the porch door. A few good shakes and they come flying ............. so Sammy is almost out of danger of going to the pound. I wonder if she heard us discussing same a few weeks ago as the change in behaviour has been seismic.

    Goodnight and Good Moaning :)

Indeed, I can hear the 'slip slop' of your slippers right now OG as you rush for another Rusk off Nursey.

(The box is always empty by the time I get there, I am sure you are having too many.)

Unless there is a cataclysmic collapse in opponents form we will be playing in

    the Championship again next year.

If anyone is into Special Novenas - please mention QPR.

I am always interested in the doings of my fellow O & O's. It gives us plenty to gossip about over morning biscuits and tea. And if you don't tell us, we can make it up anyway.

After a couple of days looking, bought a used truck today. If you think secondhand salesmen in Ireland are the divil you should try here. One fellow gave me one price in the lot, another price by eMail and had a third in the local paper. A margin of 60%! Eventually got one that I liked and was right price. You get a 10 day plate to have everything up to standard and test passed. The test is on your birthday - not the vehicle's.

    Goodnight and Good Moaning :)

None in this latitude until September (I think) ......... Oklahoma is the place to be if you want to do your whirling dervish act :D. There were over 120 funnels that touched down yesterday. But today 'round here is set to go to 31C (or 87*F in the lingua franca:p)

I feel like Greta Garbo in here this morning. Still the quietness is, er, quiet. Here, a little bit of light reading for a ready ratification by ye - the rare, rumbunctious, rambunctious, real readership:

Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition! The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honour to meet you and you may call me V. :p

Your updates are always entertaining and varied, from hounds to weather to building projects, i dont post as I have nothing of note to report at the moment.

And obviously OG being off the gargle has resulted in this place becoming very sedentary :D

Surprised they have time to play football, they have busily spammed everywhere on Boards, something like 15 posts in Arts and Crafts! Now how many footy fan fellas do you think regularly look at Arts and Crafts...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,637 ✭✭✭✭OldGoat

The spambots do the forums alphabetically. Aardvark, Anime, Art & Arch, Art & Craft... The 15 spams you saw in Arts & Crafts was the tip of the Spamberg.

Not mine Ramette but thanks anyway. I came across the alliteration somewhere a few days ago and put it in my favs.

About having nothing of note to report ........... of course you do. Everything that happens is of interest to someone. What appears humdrum to you could be riveting to someone else. I find all life and living interesting. It may be that I'm curious/inquisitive etc. but it's all part of the rich kaleidoscope of life. Sometimes I read back over old diaries and try to frame myself once again in those times. Surreal.
