Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Have sr2 on Xbox meself but haven't really played much Xbox since I got ps3. Delighted with the download.

Hey lads. Lets just say I play me mates PlayStation and he doesn't have sr2. If I log in on his can I just download it again without getting in trouble?
He texted me just now saying he is buying sr2 so it's all good.
Now just outta curiosity would it work?

Well if you go on his PS3 log in as you (providing you haven't given details to anyone else) go into the store then he can download it... If you want to pass account to someone else or your PS3 breaks just get him to deactivate on Account Management.. Pretty easy, if you need help afterwards i'm sure we can help..

Also calex yeah it's PS3 only exclusive rights :p Kind of like how use get COD maps 1 month before us (Like I care about COD though :p)

I got SR2 for a tenner new about a year and a half ago, you can pick it up for little or nothing now. Don't get me wrong free is always great but I'm not too bothered about it seeing as I've finished SR2 ages ago. I'd much prefer a hard copy over a digital one any day, at least you can still own the game without it taking up HDD space, when you're finished playing it often uninstall it and reinstall it if you go back to it.

On a more on topic note, I tried out whored mode, wasn't really impressed, might be a bit of a laugh co-op but I even enjoyed the versus in SR2 more than this. Doesn't change that the campaign was fantastic though.

I have my suspicions they will be selling Vs modes as DLC

Saints Row 2 up for free on the store (EU)

Is this still the case as I went on just there and you have to pay for it and I have SR3?

EDIT: Solved - you need to activate your on-line pass first!

Enjoyable game but sadly didn't live up to its hype. The storyline wasn't that interesting, not really any funny characters (come to think of it there's hardly any characters), the missions were okay but nothing amazing, the driving controls are crap. I thought the radio stations were very poor too, no talk radio and the music was nearly all rubbish. Overall I'm glad I got the game but after finishing it I'm left thinking, is that all there is?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,126 ✭✭✭✭calex71

Just finished it there with a few bits left to do, over all I really enjoyed the story some genuine lol moments and the choice of music to play at key points of the game was hilarious.

I thought it benefited by being more compact in terms of the area size there wasn't that feeling of "awwww do i have to drive all the way over there" that I had with the other games, but the city seemed devoid of life for the most part, very little use made of some great looking locations, and very little if any use made of water ways. I found the driving ok personally.

90% of the music was dire like others mentioned.

Disappointed in this. The story is short, but it is good. I just can't handle the random/quirky overload. Co-Op is still fairly glitchy and not as good as I thought it would be.

That did my head in too, took me ****ing ages to do it. Unfortunately you just have to keep trying over and over again. You need to be very accurate shooting out each of the wheels - do this quicky before that idiot blows up the truck.

Yesterday was my last day of holidays and I had promised myself that I was going to get stuck into this game during my time off (never enough time - SWTOR being the main culprit this time).

It's been very enjoyable and silly and fun - just what you'd expect from a Saints Row game and I'm looking forward to playing more of it this evening. I was last on a mission where I had to
protect the FBI nerdy lady from air with a rocket launcher which was proving very troublesome because I kept getting too trigger happy and accidentally blowing her car up
    :D

Impressed with the coop and the fact the game runs on PC fairly well.

    Good fun.

I modified a car with the lambo doors the other day. And was wondering if you put a spoiler on it does it serve the perpose of holding down the car at high speeds? Like in real life. (Sorry if its a stupid quistion)

Is this game worth getting? I'm tempted to get it when I finish up with exams.Hopefully make a few videos on it. I thought SR2 was pretty good. This looks better.

It's good, but smaller and shorter than SR2 with less to do, and less variety. That said the main story is tighter and there are some genuine lol moments :D

I played with 2 different characters and for some reason it was better using a female character.

Well there's that lol, but really it just seemed better with a female leader of the saints especially during scripted parts like singing in the car on the way to one of the missions, lets not mention the gimp chariots though :D

    What's the co-op play like?

Short, not as good as the 2nd one. About 12 hours playtime.

Still worth buying for coop tho.

Awesome. Just played the Send in the Clones mission. Better than any GTA4 mission.

But then I guess anything is better than a GTA4 mission...

Was thinking of getting this again. I got it when it first came out but didn't even pass the 1st level before trading it. I think there was another game I wanted to get but couldn't afford so just traded this. I loved SR 2. Anyway, pricing it 2nd hand in town and saw Gamestop are selling it for 33 euro second hand or 35 euro new. Shocking difference!

Playing this directly after saints row 2 is confusing because of the control difference. Anyways, enjoying it so far. Just a birra fun and all that.
