Are you mad? If he knew he had this for two years and still slept with women and didn't inform them then he's nothing but a scumbag and I don't think anyone will be thinking "poor charlie".

Eh? Thats such BS in 2015. With all the excellent meds there is now. People with HIV can now live amazing and near normal lives. You can now suppress the virus with meds now to undetectable levels ie cant be detected in a HIV test due to such low levels in the blood. When you are "HIV undetectable", you cant spread the virus to others.

Statically if you catch HIV tomorrow and 20 years old. You should live to the age of 75 years, as the meds are so good. There is no muscle wasted like the 1980s anymore. HIV is probably more manageable than diabetes now

Do you not still need to look after yourself though to keep the viral load down and not drink and take drugs to the extent that Charlie Sheen does?

Even if there is no risk of passing it on, your partners still have a right to know. According to one of his exes, he has slept with around 50 porn stars that she knows of. That's just another level of selfishness.

    Charlie is the victim here.

How do you come to that conclusion?

In the real world yes, but within the world of American celebrities it wouldn't surprise me to see this become the story of Sheen overcoming a life threatening illness. However I hope your right and it's the end of him.

If this is true, the guy should be locked up. What an utterly selfish cockwit. And there's probably a lot of people who are forced to wait for him to decide to make his bloody announcement, since he's not confirmed or denied the rumours yet.

    Charming. Horrible man.

I suspect they will try to spin it that way. Matt Lauer isn't exactly known for asking the tough questions. Luckily the women he sleeps with are prostitutes and porn stars who will be undeserving of any sympathy in many people's eyes. He is worried that his brilliant career is going to be overshadowed by his diagnosis, not a thought for the people he has put at risk, or his kids.

    If what's true? If he's HIV+?

Why are people assuming he's been sleeping with women without disclosing this?

Heard about the reports of a hiv mainstream actor last week. Not shocked to hear it's Charlie Sheen given that a lot of his private life is out in the open. Sex with various porn stars, drugs, etc.

Guess this is the end of his career. Not that he would care that much I imagine. He isn't exactly poor now is he. But really evil if he was not telling people he had it while sexual involved with them. Right scum thing to do.

Why are people assuming he's been sleeping with women without disclosing this?

There was reports last week saying the unknown a-list star was sleeping with other people and not disclosing. Who knows if it's true but that's what is being reported.

Because I think we can be fairly sure it would have been known about before now if so. Would you have a one-night stand with someone that you knew was HIV+?

They will def try to spin it in a sympathetic way no doubt about it. His tell all to Matt Lauer of all people will be his attempt in getting public (specifically American) sympathy. I'm guessing he's trying to take the Caitlin Jenner route of revealing all in an honest and heartfelt documentary so that people feel you've invited them in to your secret and thus they owe you some kind of sympathy and admiration. Hopefully people will be smarter than that if it is the case that he, while knowing he had this, continued to have unprotected sex with hundreds of women.

Yep. I'd say as soon as a woman comes forward and says she slept with him and now she's HIV+, the worm will turn viciously on Sheen.

But it's stupid of anyone to have unprotected sex with anyone apart from their partner - whether you know their STD status or not, so I hope people were copped on enough not to.

People aren't always sensible, and celeb status sometimes means they get to make demands that joe bloggs wouldn't. The women might assume that that they're on the pill will protect them from worst consequences, but never dream that someone - even a bat**** nut like Sheen - would sleep with them unprotected knowing he had HIV.

Ideally. But its not 100% necessary. You can still drink/use drugs while being undetectable. Its not ideal as some HIV drugs can be harsh on the liver.

Or you can take responsibly for having sex yourself and assume everyone you have sex with is positive. There is no excuse for anyone who is in a non-committed relationship for not using condoms.

I don't agree with it. Just saying that plenty of people will view adult entertainment stars and prostitutes in a not very sympathetic light. They will probably feel sorry for Sheen for being infected in the first place rather than for any of these women he put at risk.

The chances of anyone that is high end getting it from him and giving it to anyone else might be reasonably small.

Did I say she deserved aids?!? Jesus christ!! I'm saying what's "classy" is the fact she's broadcasting this to the world and seemingly trying to cash in or get attention from the whole thing. I don't care that she was a porn star, that's neither here nor there, she could work in Starbucks and Id still say "wow, classy" to the fact she's broadcasting her business like that to the world.

They do and for that reason having sex with porn stars is statistically safer than having casual sex with randomers.

Bree however retired from porn around 4 years ago and so I guess she might not have been tested in the interim, and HIV does have an incubation period of six months or so.

Anna, I'm laughing here to myself at the fact you think that tweet showed that Bree doesn't have much class. Trust me, that me tweet was one of Bree's classiest, and I say that as someone who likes her :P

I can't link to it here, as I reckon I'd get banned or infracted or something, but Google the following and then bless yourself.

I hope she keeps getting tested regularly even though she's out the business. Sadly there is no winners in this situation though. For all we know Charlie Sheen could have gone into denial and shock following his diagnosis. He may have gone through a stage where he honestly thought it wasn't happening to him.

Yeah I knew exactly what you meant cause i thought the same thing. Tweeting about it the night before he's doing his big "reveal". Tweeting would be the last thing on my mind if I was in that position and imo it does seem a bit tacky. God love her and all for the situation she's in but posting it on social media in that way just doesn't sit right with me personally.

Yeah I actually didn't understand that part :o so it did actually mean that she recorded the process like it was some kind of entertainment? Even though a few tweets (?) down there is a post about being tested at least twice a year and being clean? It's just weird

In fairness to Bree, when Charlie was the top news story for many months back in 2011, she never capitalized on it. Indeed, she's been offered a small fortune to return to porn and refused the money. She's crackers and all that, but I don't peg her for a gold digger. Telling Playboy Charlie was a "rockstar" in bed is about the only thing I've ever read her saying about him actually. She has always seemed quite loyal to him. Perhaps that will change. I doubt it though.

Nah, sure she spoke about everything else that went on. How the other one of the "Goddesses" was crying all the time and jealous of her. How Charlie was with the kids etc. That's what I mean when I say she has had her chance to speak badly about him, and never has. You can see from her Twitter account she is not one for biting her tongue. If she wanted to say something, she'd have said it by now, clause or clause. Just my opinion of course but I think she's a little ditsy at worst but ultimately she always comes across as being genuine and honest, if a little naive at times. This a recent example of the latter.

Ah ffs, why do people do this?
Spoiling for a fight even when it has been made clear there's no reason to be, you even resorted to implying Anna said she deserved AIDS.

For a split second I thought Anna meant what you thought too, but then when I saw a bit more context it was obvious she was referring to what Bree tweeted.

    Should have multiquoted.

    Anyway, doesnt matter.

Shame for Charlie Sheen and all concerned. I'd reserve judgement though until it actually comes to let what happened, if he knew, etc.

Yep, if it's true, he's the scummy one but any mature adult who has unprotected sex with someone they don't know, is being an eejit. Particularly someone who's a professional in the sex industry - and particularly when the person they're having sex with is someone who is devil-may-care about their promiscuity. That doesn't take away from the fact that the person who has the STD and says nothing is the one who's in the wrong, and sh-t happens, people mess up, but in this day and age it's really irresponsible still. I don't think the other person is entirely absolved of responsibility if they have made the decision to go bareback.
