    Opera house, Harbour bridge tour
rather than climb the opera house you can walk up the plyons for $10(?)

Coastal walks. Get a bus to coogee and take a walk to bondi beach along the beautiful coast. Others are spit to Manly.

    Blue Mountains day trip.

Ferry to Manly to and lounge around enjoy the sights and relax.

Big question is do you have transport.

Blue Mountains is a must, take a trip to Palm beach and you might just get yourself a staring role in Home & Away. Rent a bike in Manly (tackle manly dam if your feeling confident). White water rafting in Penrith. Also plenty of national parks around, I really like gary beach in the royal national park, quiet beach, good walks and surfing. Snorkling in Manly or at Gordon's Bay.

if you're in the hunter valley you could drive up to the barrington tops national park. a little-known park but very wild and popular with locals.

the beaches around newcastle are really great, too, or try the area around nelson bay in port stephens (http://www.portstephens.org.au/), or the sand dunes around burubi point (http://www.birubibeachcaravanpark.com.au/showpage.asp?id=5)

the central coast is nice, too, around terrigal.

You'll need a car for all this.
