Defrosting Steak

Just took 2 steaks out of the freezer there and was wondering if they will be defrosted by 7pm if I leave them in the fridge? Got a cast iron pan at the weekend and I am mad to try it out!

Unlikely. You might be able to defrost them between now and then if you do it at room temperature. Chances are, you'll be eating them tomorrow evening.

If you have a good defrost setting on your microwave, you could pop them back in the freezer now and defrost at 6.30pm.

put them in a pot of cold water for a while , that will do the job
