I thought a thread of what people have build and where they are would be nice

things people should try include

Server: (single player/Tallon's server or the new boards.ie server/any other server)
where: try to include a grid ref if there is a carto of the server or just a general guide to finding it (people to like to go see stuff)
why/what: why you built it and what it's ment to be (from tv show/cartoon/real)

where: E 0 (like most of my stuff you can get a portal called "Coyotes Creations" in the main stations the floor above most of the portals to the left after spawning.)
why: I saw someone post a pic of bender in one of the threads on the minecraft forum saying someone should build him and thought they were right it would be cool for the server to have Bender on with us.

why/what: Nimitz class Aircraft Carrier aka USS Coyote

After I had built a Typhoon class Sub (Hunt for red october) I was looking for a ship of some type to build was thinking of the Bismarck or Hood but thought why not build something with a airport of it's own.
the ship is 240+ blocks long, and about 35 high. 3 decks Landing deck, hangar deck and boat/engine deck with living space to the side and forward rooms for anyone who wants one just put your name on a sign by the door.

It took a fair bit of patience and a few air pockets. Having regenerating health also helped.

Server: Cian's, before it was reset.

It was 63 blocks high, and hollow on the inside (And had living space etc.
It took about 12 hours all in I think.

(pikachu was retrogamers)

Hmmm, I could always rebuild it, not sure I want to go through it all again though. (I had to demolish legs twice because they did not line up just right.)

Honestly, that's the only reason why I don't want to play on cians server. I was heartbroken when everything was reset.

Massive amounts of griefing when beta came in, then it was decided to create a new world to avail of the new block types and revamped land generation system.

There was a big plan to make an awesome spawn area with a tower/farms/houses etc, but it instantly went to **** as everyone just built randomly etc at the spawn and it looked like crap... thats the main reason i stopped playing on it...people didnt work together or coordinate efforts...

maybe they do now though..

I've posted this in the main server thread, but it's a good idea to put it here too :P

My recreation of the skeleton mob!

Server: Tallons
Where: Just use "/warp skeleton" when in game. Not sure about carto location.
Why: Was bored and needed a project

All in all, it's about 100 blocks high from bottom to top, and at a quick estimate, more than 2500 blocks used in total :P

Cannon (and lots of images) time!!

These are the cannons that myself (and Doc to some varying degree) have made over the past few days :P

Server: Tallons
Where: "/warp cannon" for one of them, but don't mess around with it (they're left unloaded, not that members can set them off even :P)
Why: Because cannons are awesome!

All the cannons have all their redstone activated, so you have some idea of the wiring. When being fired, a button is used so you barely notice it lighting up at all.

Cannon #1: The Ultra-Cannon.

Originally had fewer rows, but I thought it needed a bigger kick :P
Fires tnt, and also people (try to beat our distance record!)

The business end! Loaded with wool to give you some idea of how much is in it (30, plus one firing block).

Cannon #2: The Vertical Cannon!

Two rows of tnt fall and hit you from all sides when they explode, propelling you MILES into the air.

View from being fired. This is a mild shot by the way, the best ones get you way past two times the maximum height of a world :P
Also, I should note that this does not destroy the cannon. It only looks like it does because the server takes a second to realise that it should damage the structure.

Cannon #3: The Shotgun!

Alright, this is a work in progress entirely by me. It fires four tnt blocks in one go, but sadly kills itself in the process (still working out why).

Looks daunting, doesn't it? :pac:

Since taking these, I realised that a few of them look somewhat messy, so they're cleaner than they look in the pictures.

Alright, enough image spamming from me, I'll let someone else post now :P

What: Akuma from Street Fighter :cool:
Where: Tallons server, near Tw1stedmoogles creations (EPIC btw, type /warp sprites), it's behind the Duck hunt wall!.
Why?: I like Street Fighter, and it had been a while since I had built something on Tals Server!

As always, what starts out simple, evolved into something a bit cooler

Wow! You guys have really nice buildings. I've started playing yesterday so I don't have that much yet. I couldn't even imagine all the crazy things one can do in Minecraft!
